Oyster Mushroom are medium to large in size with caps averaging 5-25 centimeters in diameter and a very short stem. The caps are broad and fan like, ranging in different colours like White and Brown, and have curled edges that become wavy and lobed with maturity. It is widely consumed Mushroom and contains highest level of nutrients as compared to other mushrooms.
Scientific Name of Oyster Mushroom is Pleurotus Ostreatus which is a marco fungs. It is most commercially cultivated mushroom in the world.
